After School Play

Grades 1–6

The programs kids love.
The relationships they need.

Our after school program for elementary-age children leverages the Power of Play to help children overcome the effects of trauma and experience complete growth. We’ve taken the time to research how trauma has affected the development of our children and how the simple act of play can unlock the brain’s potential. Through our programs, children are growing socially and emotionally, which leads to improved grades and behavior.

We focus on three key components that lead to positive growth:

Caring Adult Relationships

Children experience a postive, caring adult relationship through our Coach-Mentors. A Coach-Mentor is a volunteer who has committed to loving and walking with the children in our program.

Connectedness with Peers

By learning from one another, working with each other, and even through competition, our children begin to understand that we are better together. They experience a sense of belonging as they work together towards a common goal.

Character Development

Children learn how the Gospel can transform their lives as we seek to live the way God has called us to. Through intentional Gospel conversations and real-world applications, youth learn that hope and purpose can be found in Christ alone.

Is there transportation available?

We provide transportation from Brookside Elementary and Paramount School of Excellence to Brookside Community Church. We are not able to provide transportation home. Due to Covid, we are not able to provide transportation.

What time do I pick up my child?

Parent pickup is at 5:15pm each night. Due to COVID, families are not able to come into the building. If there is any food insecurity, we have a food pantry.
